Glass Sauce Bottles & Glass Oil Bottles Uses

The creation of home-made oils and sauces has become increasingly popular over recent years. But there’s a good reason for this. For one thing, home-made condiments are generally cheaper than supermarket alternatives. What’s more, they usually taste a lot better and contain only what you want them to. That means no potentially harmful chemicals or preservatives. The next question is what to put them in. Read on to learn more about home-made condiments and our glass oil bottles and sauce bottles.

Sauce vs Ketchup

Although they are similar, sauces and ketchup are not quite the same things. Typically you would put a sauce through a sieve to achieve the right smooth consistency. You would then reduce it down again to thicken, though it should still pour. Ketchup you would strain through something finer, to produce the smooth puree required. The method and ingredients for both is similar to making chutney. Ketchup and sauces generally store better in bottles rather than jars.

Home-made oils

Infused and flavoured oils are rising in popularity, though they can be expensive to buy. But that’s okay because it’s easy to make your own. A blended olive oil makes a good base. What you flavour it with is entirely up to you. Break down your chosen ingredient in a food processor, then add it to your oil. Leave it for a little while and then strain out the solids. For a heated infusion, the temperature of the oil should be no more than 150˚. A cold infused oil with fresh ingredients should be refrigerated. Perhaps not surprisingly, infused oils store better in glass oil bottles.

Why use glass bottles?

Glass oil bottles or sauce bottles are the ideal solutions, as they don’t affect the flavour of what’s inside. Unlike plastic, glass is chemically inert against liquids and foods. That means your home-made oriental sauce will taste just as good after being stored in glass sauce bottles.

Glass bottles are supplied in a wide range of shapes and sizes. This makes them ideal for the storage of a huge variety of home-made products. Many supermarket oils and sauces come in a 500ml bottle, and most of our styles are available in that size. Other options range from 700ml to 50ml.

Glass bottles are practical. They can be moulded in a variety of shapes and colours, yet the finished product is strong and rigid. Glass is also hygienic, being easy to clean or sterilise.

Glass is very good for the health of our planet. Glass is made from natural and sustainable raw materials, and is 100% recyclable. Recycling glass can reduce air pollution by 20% and water pollution by 50%. It also helps to relieve the pressure on the world’s landfill sites.

Our glass is manufactured to a high standard, and our aim is to provide you with exactly what you need.
